Syed Kabir

I have been a lawyer for over 20 years. My practice areas in Ontario are primarily focused on family, civil, criminal, estate, business and corporate matters. I am a Certified Specialist in Family Mediation.

I started my career as an Associate Lawyer and later became Partner in a law firm where I specialized in civil litigation, criminal litigation, corporate, commercial and banking matters. I then joined a major multinational corporation as Senior Legal Counsel and was later promoted as General Counsel. During my tenure as a lawyer and also In-House Counsel, I had the opportunity to work with people of different backgrounds and have visited many countries including India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

I enjoy helping people by resolving conflicts which led me to pursue a career in law. My approach to conflict resolution is firstly through negotiation and mediation, and if those fail, then through litigation. In all of the approaches, I always strive to use the most cost-effective and efficient method for the client.

I am married and have two children, a son and a daughter, and I enjoy spending time with them and travelling.
